James Pizzi, School Psychologist and member of North Bergen professional staff since September 1995 and pleased to be back once again at JFK School. Our CST office is in the 3rd floor atrium. I am happy to say that my business phone was replaced and please use that means of contacting me My office no. is (201) 974-7037. We have just two half days left and will be starting full time on Wednesday September 1st. Once again ,I try to be in the office by no later than 8 AM and will be staying until 3:30 at the earliest beginning 9/1/ 2022.

In my role as school psychologist, I perform psychological assessments for referred and classified students, write IEPs and run counseling sessions. I also meet with my students and their teachers on a regular basis.

As we resume school in person, I plan on resuming my chess group this year and doing so earlier in the school year. Please e-mail me or call the main office if you have questions. More information will be forthcoming shortly.

During the Covid outbreak,I stay just slightly beyond my assigned hours of 4PM, I would like to hear from you with questions or concerns regarding your child's progress. I hold an MA degree in Ed. Psych and a Professional Diploma from Kean College now Kean University, a Master of Arts in Teaching from what was Trenton State College now the College of New Jersey and a MA in history from Penn State University.

We plan on resuming full day hours for the 2021-2022 school year. If you cannot reach me by phone for some reason please e-mail me at [email protected].

A brief update regarding our situation. We have returned to the buildings this week and the students will return on Wednesday the 12th of January for in-person instruction. I am back at my business number of (201) 974-7037. Parents wishing that their children remain at home will just receive asynchronous work. Please check out the parent portal for questions about this.

Transition Day 2021

This is a power point for 8th grade transtion day which is usually held in person for our 8th grade special needs students but due to the pandemic cannot be held in that manner this school year. Please all 8th graders and your parents watch the power point

Teacher conferences
