This restaurant role-play can be used to help students practice ordering food and drink an restaurant using the target language Spanish.  Students will use this dialogue to perform a role play, using characters in a restaurant. Pupils will record their performed "role-play" in Flipgrid using the target language Spanish. 
First, practice all the vocavulary that will be use in the role-play. 
Second, create your script in Spanish. (you can use the script provide by the teacher, At the restaurant or Mexican restaurant). 
Third, begin recording your role play  at the restaurant. (Don't forget to use Spanish language).

Learning about food from Spanish-speaking countries is an important part of learning language and understanding culture. It’s an excellent way to break up the daily routine. We use the verb gustar and food words together all the time, so it makes sense to learn them together. 

First, students will practice Me gusta/No megusta food from LatinAmerica.
Second, students will learn how to create a interactive recipe in Spanish using the app Genial.ly

This video will teach you how to order a meal in Spanish. Follow my Basic Spanish lesson to learn how to order your food in Spanish. You will learn all the basic vocabulary needed to talk about your restaurant visit in a Spanish speaking country.

Spanish verbs fall into different groups, and each group is conjugated a little differently. If you’re going to master Spanish verbs like comer, you need to be able to identify which group a verb belongs to: regular (follows regular conjugation rules for -ar, -er, and -ir verbs), stem-changing (morphs depending on how you use it in a sentence), spelling-changing (has consonant-spelling changes in some forms to follow pronunciation rules), or reflexive (reflects the action back on the subject of the sentence).  

This worksheet includes two exercises that are closely related. First, students must write the names of the items for fast food in Spanish on top of the worksheet. They should also write the price over the name of the dish, on the yellow circles. Once they have finished the first exercise, they should complete the conversation between a customer and a seller at a fast food restaurant using the information in the menu, that is saying which food and drinks they have available and calculating the total price for the order.

You just heard that auditions are being held in Atlanta for an upcoming show on “Martha Stewart Live.” 
The show will feature cooking demonstrations of authentic recipes from anywhere in the Spanish-speaking world. She wants the demonstrations to be presented in Spanish! Her staff will provide subtitles for her television viewing audience. When you tell your Spanish teacher about it, she suggests that everyone in the class should audition. To practice, you will present your recipe to the class. Be sure you can tell your classmates the following: Ingredients in the recipe Basic steps of the recipe, such as: mix, stir in, fry, bake, cut, etc. Dos and Don‟ts of preparation. For example, “don‟t use hot water” or “use a sharp knife.” You may use a few notes during your presentation. Prepare a flipgrip or poster of your recipe so the class can follow along. You may add pictures or drawings for new vocabulary. On the day of your “how-to” speech, bring any necessary equipment. and ingredients. ¡Buen provecho!
