Hello! My name is Vanessa Treus and I am a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDT-C) on the Child Study Team in the North Bergen School District. I began teaching Special Education in North Bergen in September of 2008 to June 2014. In September of 2014, I began working on the Child Study Team. I am looking forward to working together as a team, we can motivate, encourage, and make this school year a positive and wonderful learning experience!
I achieved my Bachelors in Special Education in 2006 and hold a standard Teacher of the Handicapped (K-12) certificate from New Jersey City University. I later achieved my Masters in Learning Disabilities with LDT-C certification in 2013 from Fairleigh Dickinson University. I also hold a standard Supervisor certificate that I achieved at St. Peter's University in 2016.
COVID School closure....
During this time of school closure due to COVID, it is crucial to have ongoing communication between parents and staff. I want to remind you that all of our teachers have uploaded work to be completed on their teacher web pages. These can be found on the school website. If a Google Classroom is set up, there should also be an access code to the Google Classroom. If hard copy packets were sent home and the work needs to be turned in, you can try using various scanner apps, such as Genius-Scan-PDF scanner or take pictures and send it through email via cell phones to your child's appropriate teacher. I will also be available via e-mail and you can always contact me via phone/text at 201-351-8770 during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

I hope that you are all staying healthy and do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. Thank you!
