Welcome to Ms. Sinisi's 6th & 7th grade Language Arts!
About Me:
I am Ms. Tricia Sinisi! I am excited to join the North Bergen School District this year! Prior to joining the NB family, I taught English for grades 6 - 12 in Jersey City for 8 years. However, I have lived in North Bergen all my life. Teaching in the community I grew up in, has always been my dream. I have a passion for reading and writing which I hope to bring to the 2024-2025 school year. We will read and write in every class. Communication is very important to me. I hope we can build partnerships that will give every student the opportunity to achieve success!
This Fall:
This is the perfect time of year to enjoy a spooky story, a good ghost story, and some delicious hot chocolate. The students will be working on writing their own authentic personal narratives while reading nonfiction Narrative texts at the same time. Students will be given the opportunity to be creative when composing memoir poems as well. Around Halloween, our class will begin reading fictional texts that compliment the holiday season. Grammar mini-lessons will help enrich their writing as will frequent vocabulary studies.
