Hello! I am Mr. Daniel Sanzari. I am the eighth grade ELA teacher at John F. Kennedy Elementary School. I have been teaching ELA for about 14 years now, but my goal is the same as it ever was: to help my students to unlock their potential and become their best selves.

 

This year, we will be reading a variety of different texts. While there will be an emphasis on nonfiction and informational texts, we will also focus on traditional literature such as short stories, novels, and poetry. Additionally, we will be receiving issues of Scholastic's Scope magazine on a monthly basis. You can learn more at Scholastic.scope.com. Students will also write for a variety of purposes and complete small group projects throughout the year.
